Unlocking Opportunities: The Impact of Haiti Projects’ Mobile Tech Lab

In rural Haiti, access to technology and digital education is extremely limited, leaving many students without the tools they need to thrive in a modern world. Through Haiti Projects' Mobile Tech Lab, students in Fond des Blancs are gaining essential computer skills that empower them to learn, create, and explore new opportunities. For many, this is their first time using a computer—and the impact is life-changing. Hear from students and educators about how this program is opening doors for a brighter future.

Labady Militan, School Principal

When I first heard about Haiti Projects’ Mobile Tech Lab, I was excited about the opportunities it could provide for my students. I knew they would learn valuable computer skills and gain the ability to use technology effectively.

This program is incredibly beneficial because it not only teaches students how to use computers but also helps them complete their homework in other subjects. I would love for even more students at our school to have access to this program. I am grateful to welcome Haiti Projects' Mobile Tech Lab to our school once a week, giving our students the chance to learn essential computer skills.

Finaida, 12 Year Old Student

My favorite part of the Mobile Tech Lab is learning how to change the computer screen display. There were so many things I didn’t know before, and I’m really glad I had the chance to practice what I learned in class. I would love to learn even more, like how to take photos on a laptop, download apps, and save videos. When I get home from school, I always share what I’ve learned with my parents.

Franco, 14 Year Old Student

My favorite part of the class is learning how to copy and paste. Before this course, I didn’t know anything about computers, but now I’ve learned the basics—like turning a computer on and off, creating folders, and more.

I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with my friends at school, and one day, after completing my studies, I hope to pursue a career in IT.
