MICHELET LALANE

Program Manager and Sainthon Team Head Coach

Michelet Lalane has been working with Haiti Projects since 2013, the same year the girls soccer club was founded. He loves everything about soccer, particularly teaching the players how to exercise properly. He believes it is important for girls to play soccer because it will help them stay healthy and active. “When you stay active and practice sports, you keep some diseases away, so it is important to move your body.” says Michelet. He would like for the program to expand the health education sessions and have more tournaments with other teams.

REGINAL ZIDOR

Puit Laurent Team Coach

Rejinal has been working with Haiti Projects since 2016, the same year that the Puit Laurent girls soccer team started. He enjoys his job coaching soccer, especially exercising, and practicing with the team. Practicing soccer is particularly important in keeping the girls healthy, he says. He believes that to benefit the program it would be good to have ongoing professional coach training for the coaches to learn how to do the job even better. He also loves to have tournaments between the Haiti Projects soccer teams.

JUDE MEDROIT

Pasbois d’Homme Team Coach

Jude started working with Haiti Projects in 2016 when the girls soccer team Pasbois d’Homme also started. What he enjoys the most about soccer and his team is physical and technical preparation alongside with exercising and practicing with the team. In his opinion, it’s important for the girls to keep playing soccer as it will allow them to stay healthy but also to learn how to cultivate solidarity and learn how to evolve and grow together. If he had the opportunity to do something new in the program, he would plan more social activities and projects for the community. He would also love to have more tournaments between the Haiti Projects teams.

ODIL BUISSERETH

Laborieux Team Coach

Odil started working with the Laborieux girls soccer team when it was founded in 2016. He really enjoys doing the physical and technical preparation, exercises, and practices. To him, playing soccer is a huge part in helping the girls stay healthy but also for them to learn how to work together and live in harmony. He would love for the teams to be competing regularly that way, they could put everything they learn into practice, evaluate themselves, and have fun.

LELIEVRE YONE

Frangipay Team Coach

Lelievre started working with Haiti projects in 2016. He really enjoys doing physical, and technical preparation, and exercises with the team. He believes that practicing soccer helps the girls to learn how to work together as a team and be solitary as well as staying healthy. He would love for the program to do more projects with the girls and build more activities so they can play more often and be more competitive. He believes that it would be valuable to have a vocational education program for the girls while playing soccer.
