Our annual appeal helps us fulfill our mission and support the livelihoods of women in rural Haiti.
Haiti Projects’ mission is to empower women and their families in rural Haiti toward prosperity by providing access to jobs, education, family planning and health services.
We affirm our vision that Fond des Blancs is an economically vibrant, self-sustaining community where women and their families are healthy, well-educated and financially secure and we hold fast to our values.
With your donation, we can continue to:
- Educate 1200 children with educational library programming
- Employ nearly 100 artisan women at fairly wages
- Provide 4000 women with yearly access to family planning services
- Empower hundreds of girls with reproductive health and hygiene education
- Provide our microfinance program to 150 employees
Here's what your donation goes towards:
- $12 pays for 1 pack of reusable sanitary pads for 1 girl
- $25 pays for 1 training session of 10 women to harvest honey from bee hives
- $49 supports a girl in the soccer program for 1 year
- $99 supports one session of hygiene/sex ed program for 50 high school students
- $150 supports pre-school children’s Literacy Class for 1 month
- $250 supports a mobile clinic visit to a very remote location
- $350 supports one adult literacy class for 1 semester
- $450 supports one afterschool program for 1 semester
- $1000 supports 1 soccer team for the year
